Improof redefines health tracking by providing a platform where users can connect their smartwatches, select specific data types to fetch, and view their health data through a personalized dashboard. The app caters to both iOS and Android users, ensuring accessibility and comprehensive health insights.

Business Challenge:

Improof was developed to address the challenges of accessing health data across different devices and platforms. The project focused on creating:

  • Terra Authentication: A feature for users to connect their smartwatches to the Improof app using the Terra Authentication API, ensuring secure and seamless data integration.
  • Data Types Selection: A system that allows users to select specific data types to fetch from their smartwatches, providing customized and relevant health insights.
  • Dashboard Access: Upon successful login, users are directed to their personalized dashboard where they can view their health data and insights, making health tracking intuitive and accessible.

Solution:

Improof introduced a comprehensive three-step approach to revolutionize health tracking:

  1. Terra Authentication: Implemented the Terra Authentication API to allow users to securely connect their smartwatches to the Improof app, facilitating seamless data integration.
  2. Data Types Selection: Developed a system for users to select specific data types to fetch from their smartwatches, ensuring personalized and relevant health insights.
  3. Dashboard Access: Created a personalized dashboard where users can view their health data and insights upon successful login, providing a user-friendly and intuitive health tracking experience.

To ensure seamless functionality and user experience, the project utilized React Native for cross-platform development and Node.js for backend services. Agile methodologies enhanced team productivity and adaptability. The backend was supported by Firebase for notifications, MongoDB for real-time database solutions, and AWS for scalable cloud infrastructure. The user interface was crafted with Material-UI to provide an intuitive and engaging user experience.
